Welcome to our Welcome Party

The night before our wedding was pure magic and honestly, one of our favorite parts of the whole experience. Set under twinkle lights and surrounded by our closest family and friends, our Tuscany wedding welcome party was everything we dreamed of: relaxed, joyful, and filled with Aperol Spritz, pizza straight from a wood-fired oven and amore.

The Party Inspo
While the wedding came together in 7 weeks, I didn’t let that stop me from planning my dream Italian wedding. Since our guests would be spending 3 days with us, we knew we wanted to do a welcome party the day before the wedding and also a day of festivities after the wedding.
Pinterest served as the best inspiration to pull from. I stuck to the traditional Italian themes because why mess with a good thing? I will say that the venue was so beautiful, I feel like we didn’t need much at all. I created my inspo boards in Canva and thought I’d go ahead and share where the vision came from.

The Venue

We hosted the evening at the same villa where we said “I do” the next day, Villa Marchese, transforming the outdoor patio into a cozy celebration space with string lights, lounge seating, and a mini vintage blue Fiat gelato cart that stole the show (and kept everyone coming back for seconds).
The Welcome Party Outfits

I wore a sleek ivory set that had a strapless bustier top and maxi skirt with a rosette detail and high slit—perfect for dancing and dipping, which you’ll see plenty of in the photos! This was one of my favorite outfits of all of the wedding festivities, a bit of a splurge but 100% worth it. I got my true size in the top and sized down in the skirt.
Mr. Chic looked equally sharp in a linen suit jacket and linen suit pants from H&M! It is a slim fit style and comes in several colors. He wore these loafers the rest of the trip too. He sized up in the pants and down in the shoes.
It wouldn’t be an influencer’s wedding without a dress code, so I asked all of our guests to dress in “Love at First Spritz” themed attire and yes I did provide inspo 🙂 Everyone nailed my vision!

The Food
We kept the food simple and delicious with fresh antipasti and hand-tossed, wood-fired pizza served hot from the oven. The Villa staff knew what they were doing with those pizzas, especially the meat lovers, because I’m pretty sure our group went through at least 20 of the meat lovers pizzas alone that night!! In fact, our group cheered every time a new meat lovers pizza was placed down! Tell me your American without telling me 😉
Together we kicked off the weekend in true Italian style: eating, sipping, laughing, and making memories we’ll never forget.

The Drinks

The bar served chilled wines, local limoncello, and spritzes on repeat. Personalized napkins, playful signage, and our signature cocktail stirs with our pups on them added a personal touch. By the end of the night, everyone was full of carbs, wine, and love.
